Custom Service FOU Zone A Intercept 2,000 Bags of Rice


 

The Comptroller of Custom Service of the Federal Operating Unit,zone A Lagos, kolapo Oladeji has stated that the efforts of the service at stamping-out activities of smugglers will not be compromised.

Stating this at the headquarters of FOU,Zone A, Comptroller Oladeji said the unit has not relent in her core mandate of operations at making sure that 24/7 patrol operations across all the border units were maintained.

The custom boss posits that the recent interception of over 2,000 bags of foreign parboiled rice grains at the riverine area of Ogun state was as a results of efforts of the officers and men of the FOU,Zone A

Oladeji informs that, his officers were able to intercept the contraband goods through intelligent gathering after total off-loading of the consignments by the smugglers without any causality or loss of lives. 

Adding that the intercepted consignments have been transferred to the headquarters, noting that after yulitide season, efforts at investigating deeply into the matter continues.

Comptroller Oladeji notes that, custom service,FOU,Zone A will continue to frowned at any activities of smugglers and illegal activities at undermining the economy of the nation.
