Governor Fayemi Relinquishes Power...As Wuraola Adepoju Leads 75/80 Set

 

The former Ekiti state Governor, Dr. kayode John Fayemi has relinquishes his position as the President of 75/80 set of Christ's School Alumni Association to former Comptroller General of Immigration, Wuraola Adepoju.

Fayemi who appreciates the opportunity afforded him to serve in that capacity as the President of 75/80 set over the years said it was indeed his pleasure to relinquish the position to another committed, dedicated and trustworthy fellow that can steer the ship of the association for another period of time.

While speaking at the annual general meeting of the alumni hosted by the Ibadan chapter of the set at conference hall  through the Vice President, Dr. Ayo Teriba stated that the 75/80 set of Christ's School Alumni is like a pointer and trailblazer to all other sets in the school, hence should always thred genuine directional path towards development of the great institution, Christ's School,Ado Ekiti.

Governor Fayemi who was unavoidably absent at the AGM  due to urgent pressing state matters, tender unreserved apologies to the House and implore that dedication and support given to his administration shall also be extended to the in-coming administration.

Climax of events at the carnival-like, family setting AGM was election to various offices of the association that was done through adoption of names penciled down fo the offices as follows:

1 President - Wura Adepoju

2. Vice President - Tokunbo oyesola

3. General Secretary - Bisi Arogundade

4. Assistant Secretary - Funmi Awosina

5. Treasurer - Foluke Adebiyi

6. Financial Secretary - Solape Awe

7. Internal Auditor - Lola Elliot

8. Public Relations officer - Olabisi Longe

9. Social Secretary - Sanya Aroso

10. Welfare officer (Male) - Babatola

The list and names were unanimously accented to by all members present and those that joined the meeting via zoom across the globe.

 In her acceptance speech,  Wuraola Adepoju, the new President expressed her gratitude to all saying "Eyin Egbe mi!!! Before I go on, I wish to express my deep sense of gratitude to God, our God for all the blessings. I want to let you know how deeply you have touched me. I want to let you know that I am humbled by your kindness and love. I want you to know that I have not taken these for granted".Mo dupe.

While she also promises inclusive administration in all activities of the association and place high premium to welfare of members and development of the association as whole.

 After a group photography, members were treated to sumptuous assorted dishes and drinks, while live band was at hand dishing-out melodious music to all to dance,as members defile the natural shower from Almighty God and wrigle their waist dancing.
