The All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) South-West zone has appointed a new scribe.
Dr. (Otunba) Adebayo Famakinwa was appointed the Secretary of ANCOPSS South-West Zone at the recently concluded Bi-Annual ANCOPSS Southwest Bloc (ELOOOO) Zonal meeting held at the African Church Grammar School, Ita-Iyalode, Abeokuta, Ogun State between June 4 to 6, 2024.
The new secretary was an active, financial participatory member of ANCOPSS that has served in one capacity or the other like P.R.O Ondo West Branch ANCOPSS, Secretary ONDO West branch ANCOPSS and Ondo State Secretary of ANCOPSS till date before his appointment to present position and Current Principal, St. James Catholic grammar school, Ondo
In his acceptance speech, Famakinwa states that "It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of responsibility that I accept this new role, and I am truly grateful for the platform that Ondo State ANCOPSS has provided towards my elevation to this position.
Adding that "I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to each and every member of Ondo State ANCOPSS for your unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement during my journey within the education sector to date. Your belief in me has been a driving force in my professional development, and I am truly honoured to represent our state at the South-West Zone, which is one of the sub-National Headquarters of ANCOPSS in Nigeria.
Famakinwa noted that , as he embark on this new chapter as the Secretary of ANCOPSS South-West Zone, humbly request continued support and prayers for the advancement of education in the Zone. Promising his committed to working tirelessly to promote educational excellence, foster collaboration among educators, and advocate for the welfare of students and teachers alike.
Noting that he is confident that with the collective efforts of dedicated individuals in Ondo State ANCOPSS, can achieve remarkable progress and positive change in the education sector.
Saying "Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of our students and contribute to the overall development of our communities.
While he extends deepest gratitude to Ondo State ANCOPSS for their support and encouragement. And looking forward to continued partnership and collaboration as jointly strive towards educational advancement and excellence in the South-West Zone.
