Ikole APC Calls for Caution on SDP Thugs...Distrupting rallies in the area

It was a shameful and ugly act of thuggery  in Ayedun Ekiti in Ikole LG area over the weekend when some Thugs suspected to be SDP members (having appeared in the party's vests and caps close to their party's office at Ward 10)

The ugly incident occurred when the advance team of APC campaign rally was attacked at the point of entry to Oke Ayedun Ekiti  and saw many APC members on a peaceful rally scampering for safety for fear of being hit by stones, cudgels and other dangerous weapons freely used by the rampaging thugs. 

In a statement by  Dele Oso, Ikole APC Media and Publicity Committee Chairman, said it is important to state that the APC motorcade rally had passed through major towns of Oye Local Government and Ikole before the attack at Ayedun Ekiti.

The rally was brought to an abrupt end as a result of the dastardly act. "We hereby call on the security agencies to quickly apprehend the perpetrators of this attack and rid our society of thugs masquerading as politicians as we approach the election day next week.
