An aspirant contesting for the Ondo state House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Akindele Adeniyi, has expressed his displeasure over the APC state House of Assembly primary election held on Thursday.

According to Adeniyi, who was former House of Assembly member, while speaking with journalists at the end of the exercise said primary election was not hold at all in his local government area, Akure North.

Adeniyi said, "my intention is to go back to the Assembly because when I was in the House I gave my people dividend of democracy but as at today, no primary election in my local government area, precisely in my constituency.

"Initially as a contestant I should know the venue of the primary but it was not communicated to me and the fault is from our party.

"If you look at the APC in Ondo state now, you will see that there is a crisis and the problem emanated from the party Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, he is using his position to create crisis in the state."

Adeniyi, who lamented that the primary election was flooded with irregularities among others said "when I collected my form, the APC chairman, Adetimehin promised then that there would be a level playing ground for all aspirants but there was not level playing ground for all aspirants today.

"They were spreading the rumour that I have stepped down, I want to say that I did not step down for anybody, what I'm saying is that election did not hold at all.

"APC should go back to the drawing board and do the needful so that the general elections will be okay for us otherwise there is going be a problem."
