ADAMAWA STATE GOVERNMENT IMPOSES CURFEW ... Police assure of adequate security

As part of efforts put in place by the Adamawa state government  to maintain peace, and guarantee security of lives  and properties in some disturbed areas in the state with imposition of curfew, the  State Police Command has call on the general public to comply with this directives.


In a release by the Police Please Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje said with Government Imposition of 24hour Curfew as a measures to curtail the escalation of Communal clashes across Guyuk and Lamurde Local Government Areas.


The Command in collaboration with sister security agencies in the state  will commence the full enforcement of the directives with immediate effect.


According to the PPRO, "To this effect, the Commissioner of Police OLUGBENGA ADEYANJU,fdc, Calls on members of the  general public particularly those in Lafiya, Boshikiri, Zakawan, Masermei,  Dumna Zerbu,Dumna Burthi,  Dumba Dutse, Duu,  Tsalbu communities in Lamurde/Guyuk to adhere strictly and respectfully obey  such order until further notice.



Noting that, the Command has deployed a taskforce team that comprises of police and other security agents to enforce the government Directives in the affected areas.


 The command while urging members of the public to adhere strictly equally warns officers and men deployed for this operation to  display high level of professionalism,  operate within the context of the law and respect  Human rights


While the Police authority therefore asured all members of it's commitment to protecting lives and properties and called on people to stop taking Laws into their hands,stay at home and remain safe in this regard.
